The Canadian Championship is the premier event for top-level Canadian bowlers. Provincial champions compete head to head in a round robin format with playoffs to decide the champions. The championship includes men’s and women’s events in single, pairs and fours.

Even though he is arguably the greatest bowler New Zealand has ever produced, Peter Belliss has had to wait 39 years to lift the fours title at the Hyundai National Open Bowls Championships, which concluded in Auckland today.
