Mase’s Lawn Bowling for Charity Challenge

The second annual Mase’s Lawn Bowling for Charity Challenge was held under sunny skies at the West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club Aug. 29.
Hosted by Tim Mason, a two-time Canadian national lawn bowling champion, the fun-filled event was intended to introduce newcomers to the sport as well as raise funds for Camp Goodtimes, a Canadian Cancer Society program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens with cancer and their families.
The tournament went off without a hitch thanks to the many volunteers, including club members who generously gave of their time to ensure the participants knew the rules of the game during the morning round as well as members of the Lions Club who served up barbecue fare for lunch.
