Pituley searching for first win while Pershick rolls to 7-1

It hasn’t been an ideal start for the Junior World Cup this year for Jonathan Pituley (Regina, Sask) but he is taking it in stride as he is ready to finish strong with the last two games of the tournament. It was a tough day today as Jonathan lost to Andrew Kelly 6-8 2-15. Next up he will face Max Cavender of the United States.

Geoff Pershick (North Vancouver, BC) kept on rolling along as he crushed Japan 19-0 10-7. After draw 8 this places him in 3rd place with three games to go. Speaking with Geoff he feels confident and relaxed. ” I have been just really focused and letting my bowls do the talking” asked about the other competitors Geoff’s thoughts were “Great people here and a wonderful facility, as we are all really enjoying our time”. His next game will be tonight as he continues his run to the Gold with a match against Malaysia.
