Team Canada Moving on to Day #4….
|The crew has been full on over in Adelaide as they continue to push forward to the playoffs. Today is a huge day for all as some significant games are coming up for the Men’s Fours and Women’s Triples. The women will take on South Africa today in a pivotal match as every point is important as they are chasing for the top 3 spots. Afternoon action will see them playing China. In the Women’s Pairs Marge and Jackie will have a tough day as they face Fiji in the morning and will take on the powerhouse team of Rebecca Quail and Kelsey Cottrell in Round #8.
On the Men’s side Bester Boy will continue his quest for the singles title as he will play Fiji in Round #7 and in the afternoon will have old rival Gerry Baker from South Africa. If Ryan can dispatch of either one of these he should be qualified for the playoffs already and will continue to strive for his strangle hold of top spot in the Singles. The Men’s fours have a great opportunity today to add some points to their score cards as they get the B countries today, playing Brazil in Round #7 then taking on Botswana in the afternoon tilt. The fellas sit 5-2 in round robin play and sit in striking distance as today will be a huge moving day for the fours competition.
The crew seems in good spirits and having chats with Canadian Team everyone is confident and moving forward. Best of luck to all the players today – GO Canada GO!!!
