Mai & Taylor win Canadian Titles

The 2009 Canadian Indoor Championships have come and gone. Vince Mai and Marie Taylor have come out with Canadian titles and will be off to Australia to represent Canada.

After a long week at the PIBC it was Mai who out lasted Geof Pershick in the men’s finals with some spectacular bowls.  Vince kept the pressure on Geof with some clutch shots through the match. On the women’s side the final came right down to the final bowls as Marie Taylor came out victorious to win her first National Title.

Bronze medal winners were Alice Duncalf, who added another medal to her collection, as she was victorious over Sandy Yau. In the men’s bronze medal game Paul Choi upset Stevie Santana to take home the prize. It was a great week of bowls and congratulations to all the competitors for putting on a great display.
