Day of Bowls – Barrie LBC
|Big thanks to Don Holman and the Barrie LBC- who opened up the club for a practice session. Being on the road quite a bit makes it difficult to stay sharp and on your game. Its things like this that helps grow the game, share other ideas and clubs. I recently was fortunate enough to have a club extend and open hand. Share your greens and keep those doors open to new players.
The Barrie Lawn Bowling Club was first established in 1902, on property owned by the C.N.R. (later sold to the city of Barrie). The club operated continuously as the Allandale Lawn Bowling Club until moving indoors to the Barrie Sports Dome when the original property was sold by the city. Indoor play began during the summer of 2001.
