Day #3 Complete at AP’s
|The third day of the Asia Pacific Championships are in the books as the Canadians came out gunning to improve their records.
After dropping their morning game, the Pairs Team of Lepere/Foster came out determined to grab their first international win and they did it in convincing fashion beating former World Champion Siti Zalina Binti Ahmad and her partner 22-16. The Women’s triples had a bye in the morning and in the afternoon pounding Hong Kong 22-6. This puts the team of Mckerihen/Pituley/Berg in the hunt after 3 days of competition. Next up for them is a big game with Malaysia this morning.
In Men’s action Quebec’s Michel Larue bounced back and blew out his opponents in both games. Wining easily 21-8 vs Macau and 21-6 against Japan. Over at Lockley’s the Men’s Fours team Bester/Wilson/Aveline/Mason kept rolling along with two wins over Norfolk Island and China in the afternoon. The second game saw windy conditions and speeds get up to 19 seconds as the heat blasted the greens. They sit in 2nd spot and have a chance to take the pool today, with games against Samoa and a big tilt vs division leader Malaysia in the afternoon.
