Sugar Bowl Set To Roll….

The annual Sugar Bowl lawn bowling tournament is the foundation’s major fundraising event each year. Amber was a lawn bowler and the Sugar Bowl aims to provide a positive way to honour Amber’s memory while raising money for student scholarships and awards. It’s a fun event for a great cause — a bit quirky with a lot of heart, just like Amber herself.

Join us as an individual player, with a whole team or as a fan.

Registration for the 2012 Sugar Bowl is open until August 23.

Sugar Bowl 2012 takes place August 25th at the Calgary Lawn Bowling Club starting at 5 pm. Join us to try to win the Sugar Bowl as an individual player for $70 or sign up a whole team of four for $280 and get to bring out two fans (friends who join us for dinner and entertainment but who don’t play). Or, if you’re not sure about trying your hand at lawn bowling, join us as a fan for $15. Registration includes a barbecue dinner provided by SAITSA. There is a cash bar.

Never lawn bowled? No problem! You don’t need any special equipment — just wear flat shoes (no heel and as little tread as possible) — we’ll provide everything you need and our coaches will help you learn how to play.
